Handbook of cross-border data exchange has been published!

The handbook of cross-border data exchange has been published in Copenhagen at Cross-Border Digital Services (CBDS) Seminar November 9th 2023. As a part of the seminar, our project CBDS-Study organized a workshop where we dived deeper into the handbook of cross-border data exchange from the perspective of educational credentials (chapter 3).

The handbook collects the lessons learned in cross-border data exchange in the fields of studying and using health services in another Nordic and Baltic country, and in the use of Nordic and Baltic legal databases. The aim is to provide the reader with insights and ideas for future development by pinpointing identified networks, interesting initiatives, and potential funding mechanisms, as well as highlighting case examples that could be utilized in the development of cross-border collaboration.

The Handbook of cross-border data exchange is part of the project ‘World’s smoothest cross-border mobility and daily life through digitalisation’, with a broader objective of streamlining the daily life and mobility of citizens and companies across borders by facilitating the exchange of data between authorities in the Nordic and Baltic countries.

Read the handbook by following the link below and find also the summarizing pictures.

Feel free to share the handbook with your colleagues and stakeholders!

  • Dissemination of the handbook within the project’s networks. We will also publish a whiteboard video (by Marker Wizards) related to the content of sharing educational credentials. Our project has plans to contribute to couple of conferences and existing events next spring.
  • Promote the use of EMREX solution within educational institutions and national level. At the moment, there are promising EMREX integration intentions with two different universities’ student information systems in two Nordic-Baltic countries. EMREX is already utilized in higher education level fully or partly in Norway, Sweden and Finland.
  • Next year, we would also like to investigate more e.g. the current landscape related to cross-border digital sharing of upper secondary (general and vocational) educational credentials in the Nordic-Baltic context.
