The creation of a completely new code set starts from the "Add code" button on the front page of the Reference Data Tool.
- This button is visible to logged-in users with code set editor's rights or main user rights to at least one organisation.
- In addition, this user's organisation must have been linked to one of the registers in the Reference Data Tool.
Select "Create a new code set". This opens a view where the code set can be associated with terminologies in the Terminologies Tool. Here you can:
- search by keyword and limit search results by terminology name and status or
- create a piece of reference data without a concept (not recommended)
When the desired function is selected, a code data page opens, which must be filled in at least for the mandatory fields:
- Register
- Label of the code set
- Code name
- Organisation
- Data area
- Language code
Lastly, the code set is saved using the "Save" button in the top right-hand corner of the view.
Once the code set is created, the codes can be added to it.
