The reform of the eIDAS regulation
The Ministry of Finance has appointed a national coordination group to coordinate the preparation of the eIDAS regulation. The goal of the group is to try to influence the preparation of a European digital identity in a timely manner in EU institutions and in cooperation with other member states, so that the result is in line with Finland's goals. You can find more information about the work of the coordination group on the website of the Ministry of Finance (in Finnish)European Parliament and the Council have adopted the revised eIDAS Regulation, which regulates cross-border electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions. In future, the Regulation will also regulate European Digital Identity Wallets.
