The tool lists to the Classes page the number of classes as well as the list of classes that are included in the data model.

Click the title of the class to open more specific details of the class, for example:

  • Name of the class
  • Prefix in the Data Vocabularies Tool
  • The long identifier, IRI-adress: IRI-address is an unique address for the class in the internet.
    • With the IRI-address the class can be used as a reference outside the Data Vocabularies Tool, for example in machine readable interfaces.
  • Concept: the link to the concept in the Terminologies Tool.
  • Upper class: The name of the upper class and the link to it.
    • The class having meaning content more common than this class.
    • For exampltool >hammer
  • Equivalent classes: The name of the equivalent class and the link to it.
    • The other classes that have the meaning content same or almost same than this class. For example, shoe-footwear.
  • Disjoint classes: The name of the disjoint class and the link to it.
    • The classes that cannot include same parts as this class (classes exclude each other). For example: the actor can be either a person or an organization, but not both simultaneously.
  • Technical description: Short description of the class and its usage.
  • Attributes: List of attributes included to the class. Click the name of the attribute to open more specific information of the attribute.
  • Associations: List of associations included to the class. Click the name of the association to open more specific information of the association.
  • References: List of other resources that have referred to this class (used this class as a reference)
  • Created: The day and time the class was created.
  • Last modified at: The day and time the class was last updated.
  • Work group comment:Comments and instructions for other users editing the information content of the class. This field is not publicly available.
  • Contributors: Organisation(s) who owns the content and maintains it in the Data Vocabularies Tool.

In Action menu you can edit a chosen class or its prefix. You can also delete a class.

From the Classes tab you can also

  1. Copy the IRI address.
  2. Add attributes to the class.
  3. Add associations to the class.
  4. See the references to the class.
